If you have questions about your rights in the workplace, the best person you can talk to is your steward or local leader. You will know the details of your agreement. If you want a copy of your collective agreement on paper, talk to your trustee. If you don`t know who your administrator is or how to contact your office, contact the CUPE office near you. The CUPE 23 bargaining team has reached a preliminary agreement with the employer. Details and copies of the agreement are available on the Members page only. We need to clarify a question that was asked at the evening briefing – ALL MEMBERS, sworn or not – that will have the opportunity to vote on the MOU. If you do not receive the simply voting email in the next 2 days, contact the office – 604-298-0200 – admin@cupe23.ca – to make sure we have your personal email address in the file. All CUPE members work under the protection of a collective agreement called a collective agreement. Your local union negotiates the terms of the agreement. Elected local union leaders also work with the employer to resolve workplace issues. The proposed amendments to the Constitution and Statutes for 2020 have now been published on the «Members Only» page of this site and e-mailed to all members who subscribe to our email list.

The amendments will be voted on at the November general meeting. Tuesday, October 27, 2020 17:00-18:00 – To register, click here. The session will be one hour long and the presentations of CUPE National staff will provide members with an overview of the key changes, followed by a Q-A period. These webinars are not a substitute for the current consultation process with plan partners, but are intended to provide cupE members with other opportunities to learn about the changes. Detailed information on the MPP redesign of the plan partners can be found at mppredesign.ca to ask questions or comment on changes made with the «Ask Questions» feature. These meetings are for general information and members seeking specific advice on their retirement planning should consult a personal financial advisor directly. The meeting for members of the city and the library is Tuesday, October 13, 2020. 5pm-6pm – To register, click here.
