Revised Agreement Of Cooperation Between Government Of India And Nepal To Control Unauthorised Trade

octubre 4, 2021 leedeforest

The Parties shall consider and take all measures, including technical cooperation, to promote, facilitate, expand and diversify trade between their two countries. With regard to the carriage of baggage accompanying a person travelling from one part of Nepal to another through Indian territory, the Government of India imposes a simplified procedure with regard to baggage that the Indian authorities can keep in view of the price differences in Nepal and India and other relevant factors that are likely to be in India. For other luggage accompanying a passenger, transport is free. I would be grateful if you would be kind enough to confirm that the above correctly explains the agreement between our two governments. Approve, Your Excellency, the assurances of my highest consideration. The Government of India and His Majesty`s Government of Nepal (hereinafter referred to as the Contracting Parties), driven by the desire to maintain, develop and strengthen friendly relations and cooperation between the two countries, recognizing that as a landlocked State, Nepal needs freedom of transit, including permanent access to the sea and sea, to facilitate transit through their territory, they decided to extend the validity of the existing transit contract with mutually agreed amendments and, to that end, appointed the following persons as agents. . . .
